It comes with the original case and warranty card and has been restrung with new D'Addario strings. The mandolin has light wear from age, most notably some crazing of the finish between the fingerboard and sound hole (see picture), which is purely cosmetic and cannot be felt to the touch. I believe this particular instrument was made in 1994, judging by the serial number. These mandolins were produced from 1977 to 1996 before the Gibson acquisition. ![]() The mandolin has a symmetrical round body style (also known as army/navy-style) with a spruce top, maple body, and rosewood fingerboard. This is a vintage Flatiron Model 1N mandolin with a natural satin finish which was handmade in Bozeman, Montana. ![]()
